pig5.jpg
Marjorie and the Tamworth Lady2699 viewsMarjorie has shown great wisdom and has worn white trousers out to visit the piggy wiggy. Naturally, the pig's reaction was to coat her nose with mud and then want to show Marjorie how much she is loved. Kissy, kissy . . .

My Desk - Whitecroft161 viewsThis is one of those pictures in a picture kind of picture. Here's my cluttered desk, with me working on (what else?) this photo gallery. Japanese maple outside my window: with the long summer days, the sun really shines in during the afternoon, but I don't like to shut the blinds.
B-japanese-lantern.jpg
Japanese Maple & Japanese Lantern65 viewsThe maple is planted outside my office window to keep the (rare) summer sunlight out of my eyes. It seems to be taking over. The Japanese lantern is from outside our Makaiwa Street home in Hawaii, from the 1960's and 1970's.

Black Panther Dog -- With The Red Ball5288 viewsOK, it's really a black Labrador. But he sure looks like a panther.

Birdie and a Cocker Spaniel237 viewsTaken at 140 Dowsett Avenue (I recognise the green tile). The inevitable dog. And a wonderful retro television set.

Honolulu Airport232 viewsI can only guess at the date of this photograph -- late 1950's or early 1960's. The old Honolulu Airport terminal is behind the PanAm airplane. I love the PanAm attendants doing things at the gate itself. No air bridges. My father with Nana: not sure who's going where.
pachinko-parlor.jpg
Pachinko Parlour, Tokyo -- 1953180 viewsTaken by my father in Tokyo, circa 1953 or 1954. Bleak roads -- but a bright pachinko parlour in the foreground.

Pan Am StratoCruiser Aircraft - Honolulu Airport210 viewsI remember flying from Honolulu to Bangkok, most of it via StratoCruiser. We dressed for the flight. There was a lounge downstairs, which we reached via a spiral staircase. We flew Honolulu - Wake - Guam - Manila - Hong Kong and then on to Bangkok.
